Festas Senhor Santo Cristo

Largest religous festival after Fatima in Portugal. Josefa, my daughter, and I followed the procession which takes 4 hours as there are so many 'followers'! http://www.virtualazores.com/santocristo/maini.html

Before the procession with the image of Senhor Santo Cristo passes, the streets are closed and

decorated with carpets of fresh flowers.
